Student Assistance Teams (SAT Teams) are designed to help classroom teachers obtain strategies and assistance in working with students. If a student is experiencing difficulty in any academic area, speech, or behavior, and several classroom interventions have been tried, a teacher may refer the student to the SAT Team. Our Grant SAT team is comprised of the classroom teacher, a lower and upper grade level teacher, the principal, the school counselor and the parent. The team meets once a month and will brainstorm new strategies and interventions to use with the student. The goal of the team is to discover the appropriate interventions to help the student be successful in the classroom.
